Every bottle of NorCal Nectar raw honey comes from our own hives in Northern California. The bees forage California wildflowers, and the honey ships to you from Northern California. It is not blended with other honey or sweetened with anything else. Family beekeepers since 1892.
Because it is wildflower honey, no two harvests taste exactly alike. The colour and flavour follow what was in bloom, which is the point of buying honey from one region instead of a supermarket blend. - Strained once through a coarse mesh to remove wax and hive debris. Never fine-filtered, so the natural pollen stays in.

- Raw honey crystallizes over time. That is normal and reversible — stand the jar in warm (not boiling) water until it clears.
- Storage
- Store at room temperature, out of direct sun, with the cap closed. Refrigeration is not needed and speeds up crystallization.

Four things worth checking, whoever you buy from.

The label says raw and unfiltered
Most supermarket honey is heated and fine-filtered so it stays clear on the shelf. That removes the pollen. Raw honey is extracted and bottled without pasteurisation and only coarse-strained.

It names where it is from
"Product of multiple countries" or no origin at all usually means blended honey. Ours is California wildflower honey from our own hives in Northern California, not blended with anything else.

It is allowed to crystallize
Raw honey turns cloudy and firm over weeks or months. That is glucose coming out of solution, not spoilage, and it is one of the more reliable signs the honey was not heavily processed.

You can compare the price per ounce

Our raw honey is wildflower honey, so the flavour and colour shift with what is in bloom at harvest. The only clover product we sell is Clover Honey Sticks, which are US Grade A clover honey: not raw and not from our hives.
