What a honey stick is

A honey stick is a food-grade straw filled with about a teaspoon of honey and heat-sealed at both ends. You bite or snap one end and squeeze the honey out — into a drink, onto a spoon, or straight into your mouth. There is no jar, no lid and no spoon, which is the entire point of the format.

Ours are filled with raw Northern California wildflower honey. Raw and unfiltered. Never heated above 95°F. The only ingredient is honey.

For a single jar instead, see raw California honey. For the full explainer, read the honey sticks guide.

What people buy them for

Weddings & parties

One stick per guest as a favour, or two if you want spares on the table. A 250-guest wedding is a single 250-pack. Sticks stack flat in a jar or basket and need no assembly, ribbon or jar lid.

Offices & break rooms

A bowl next to the kettle. No jar to get sticky, no spoon to wash, and nothing to throw away half-used when someone leaves.

Cafés & beverage stations

A single-serve sweetener that is not a sugar packet. Sticks portion consistently, which matters when a barista is not measuring.

Bulk honey stick FAQs

How much honey is in one stick?

About one teaspoon — roughly 5-7 grams depending on fill. That is a single serving for a mug of tea or coffee, which is why packs are sold by stick count rather than by weight.

How many sticks do I need per guest?

One per guest covers a favour at each place setting. Order about 10% spare if the sticks are going in a bowl for people to help themselves, and two per guest if they are the only sweetener at a drinks station.

What is actually in them?

Raw honey. Nothing else — no corn syrup, no added flavouring, no preservatives. The honey is Northern California wildflower honey. Raw and unfiltered. Never heated above 95°F.

Are honey sticks safe for children?

Do not feed honey to infants under 12 months. Honey can contain Clostridium botulinum spores that an infant gut cannot yet handle. Above 12 months, a honey stick is a teaspoon of sugar and should be treated as one.

How long do they keep, and how should I store them?

Store at room temperature, out of direct sun, with the cap closed. Refrigeration is not needed and speeds up crystallization. Sticks can granulate if they are stored somewhere cold — warm one in your hand or drop it straight into a hot drink and it clears.

What does shipping cost on a bulk order?

Flat $4.90 shipping, free over $50. Every bulk pack on this page clears the free-shipping threshold on its own. Orders ship within one business day.

Do you offer bigger packs than the ones listed?

The 1000-pack is the largest size listed, and it is the cheapest per stick. For anything beyond that, recurring deliveries, or case quantities on a schedule, use the wholesale enquiry form and tell us the quantity and cadence you need.
